Leaky ball faucet. Removed spout to replace o-rings. O-rings had squared off edges, not rounded. The repair kit only had rounded edge o-rings. Don't know the manufacturer of the faucet. How can I get the square edge o-rings or find out the manufacturer of the fauet?

rick, i have to say that your post made me smile. the "O" rings are supposed to be round. the roundness has been flatened out by wear and tear. that is perfectly normal. do apply some sort of silicone grease to the new rings before you slide the spout down.

Normally, that would be true. But some models of Price Pfister faucets DO use a "square" O ring. If that is what you have call 1-800-PFAUCET and have them send the replacements.

i don't believe i have ever seen a flat sided "O" ring used in a spout application.
they are about as rare as a red sox win, nowadays..

Packy, hj is on target with this one. I have a PP kitchen about 12 to 15 years old, and the rings called for are squarish. That is what PP sends me when I order them, but you don't see them in the supply houses much, and they may have changed the spec over to round rings.
