 Shower trim into tub/shower
Author: lilie19 (CO)

We have a shower trim kit from Mirable. Is it possible to make it work for a shower/tub combo? Would we just need a different valve than the volume control valve?

im not familiar with mirabella other than its a Ferguson generic brand, but with most valves you just cap off the bottom(tub spout) port...open up the wall and i assume you could run a tub spout down off the bottom port and buy a tub spout for it

NOt all valves are suitable for a tub/shower if they were designed as a shower only. HOW the valve is constructed would be the determing factor on HOW you can do it.

the best thing that would happen is that it would work perfectly with a diverter spout.
the worst thing would be that when you run tub only, water would dribble out of the shower head.
i too am not familiar with that valve???
