Help with a Sterling accord Tub
Author: rayh78

Went to order a Sterling ACCORD model tub and wall kit from my plumbing sply house.

Wall kit they have in stock. The tub would take 4 weeks to get.
Normal below floor drain and is Sterling #71141110

They do keep in stock the model with above floor drain. Which is model #711411120
But I do not need this model.

Anybody used the Accord model?

I used a different model Sterling tub 5 years ago. The only difference was the above floor model had a spacer on the bottom of a below floor model.
In 5 minutes we took out a few screws and removed the spacer and were good to go.

Called tech support at Sterling. Had to talk to a women that just told me they don’t recommend modifying any of their tubs. She would consider this a modification. And could not tell me if it had the same spacer that unscrewed. And if it would be the same as a below floor model.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Just so happens I do deal with Ferguson's.

Here they dont have or keep any in stock of the Accord model besides the above floor model of accord.

Heard Home Depot carrys the Accord tub but with the plain wall kit instead of the tile look.

If I cant find an answer. I may have to get the wall kit from fergusons and tub from home depot.

Tried a few Ferguson's stores.

All I get is they only carry above floor models. And sales dont understand why anyone would want the below floor one.
