 flush valve replacement question
Author: waukeshaplumbing (WI)

i installed a fluid master today into an older 'basic' toto

it didnt need the small black fill tube that typically goes into the overflow tube(down to the bowl)

do they make a fluid master that has the tube outlet plugged?

i just ran the tube into the tank and attached it to the overflow tube to keep it in place

its just something i never ran into before

thanks

I just attach it to the overflow tube like I would for any other toilet.

Kohler also uses that same Fluidmaster valve in some toilets. HOW do you know it "does not need to" unless you test to be sure the "fall back" completely fills the bowl?

because the original flush valve didnt have a tub going down the overflow tube

it wasnt the Toto Carusoe, it was the next model up that they dont make anymore...it was like a ADA Carusoe....same flushing setup as the Carusoe though

it had a ball float..probably 5 years old

no tube attached to fill the bowl
