Author: Ozzy (OH)

A friend of mine found this tool buried in his yard and can't identify it- anyone know what it might be?

Just a guess, but the rounded, pointed ends usually indicate it was used by iron workers to line up bolt holes and the hooked end could have been used to hold a bolt head while the nut waa torqued to specifications.

would have to be for Gerbils or snakes. Unless they were put on the rack first to stretch the neck and make it thinner.

what you refer to is called a drift pin. working on navy ships there are so many flanged connections that a drift pin is a necessity.

It looks like a tool that was used to grab and align sections of railroad track.

Looks like " A PERSUADER " a popular tool used during the turn of the century for loan sharks to terrorize people into paying their loans. Can't describe just how it was used... other then to say it wasn't for plumbing as we know it.
Good Luck!

Best Wishes

How on earth do you lose something that size? I have left some small tools on jobs, but never something as big as a human being.

That is possible because the F-450 is down in Mexico somewhere. Maybe transporting bales of "weeds".
