 Is this a Zurn fitting?
Author: Fixitangel (NC)

Had to rpl a pex fitting on a sillcock that had cracked and was leaking profusely. Thank goodness it was spraying onto a heater duct and the homeowner had good hearing, otherwise it may have taken years to discover. I had to slither about 100' into an 18" crawlspace to pick this little cherry. Is this the brand that all the lawsuits were over? It's marked Q PEX.

i couldnt tell you what brand that is but it would not take years to notice the leak as it will always get worse and they would see a huge difference in their water bill

All the zurn brand fitting I had did have Q or Q pex stamped on them.
After hearing about the problems I went thru and got rid of couple hundred dollars worth.

Not necessarily.. Single lady living in a home on a well system.. her first well experience. I asked her where the pressure tank and water cut off were and got a deer in the headlight look. Go figure.
