 Pfister vs Moen Shower/Tub

We are renovating a condo. The plumber installed a rough-in Moen posi-temp valve for a shower and at a second location for a shower/tub. We found a killer deal online for pfister trims we really like. Can we use the pfister trim on the moen valve?

The plumber is being a pain because he wants us to get the moen trims from the plumbing supply where the want to charge us list.

ANd what do you want them to charge you? I would NOT deal with supply house that sold material to a non-contractor for anything less than list, nor would I furnish it for less than that. If you want it cheaper, go to Home Depot and see what they charge you for a special order item.
There is absolutely NO WAY you can mix manufacturer's valves and trims.

supply house fixtures are typically better quality than what you find at Home Depot

on line fixtures can be returned items or open box items...or old stock

a customer of mine bought from Direct Buy a few weeks ago....all Kohler

Sink was cracked
mixer valve had issues
mixer trim was Kohlers old version of ORB

he saved $200 by buying on line.....and he paid $350 for me to make 2 call backs (1 for the sink and one for the valve)

purchase your fixtures through your plumber

and you cant use PF trim on a Moen valve....just like you cant put a Ford Starter on a Chevy engine

you cannot use piss/ poor nore should you.your price phishter.stay with your plumber or screw it up yourself!!!Please order the valve and body plus trim.then reorder any replacement part to make my day!!!
