I have noticed that sometimes there is a little tiny bit of water on the floor directly under the lid edge as the Arizona temperatures start to climb. I checked the toilet for leaks everywhere including between where the tank meets the stool as well as underneath where the bolts hook the tank to the stool. There were no leaks anywhere. I also checked for any leaks coming from the toilet base that meets the floor. No leaks. I then ran my fingers between the tank lid and the tank where they meet. I felt condensation. What seems to be happening is that the lid gets moisture from the water in the tank and then trickles down the side of the tank onto the floor. I then checked that the Fluidmaster wasn't spraying the lid. It was functioning as it should. The underside of the tank lid did have condensation, but, not from any water spray.
Now to the questions. Does anyone know how to cure this problem? I have heard that it could be something to do with the inside temp of the home being too warm and creating condensation. Again, this does not happen any time other than when the weather gets warm(by warm I mean Arizona hot!).
Other than keeping my electric bills very high keeping my A/C on lower temps(cooler in house), are there any other means to stop the condensation?
A side note: the tank lid has condensation only underneath it, not on top of the lid. The oustide of the lid and tank do not have condensation
Sorry this post is so long, but, I wanted to give as much information as I could.
Thank you,
Joe

What about gluing a piece of styrofoam to the tank lid. They sell kits to line tanks with, but if your tank is not condensating I'd only line the lid.

Yes, it is only the tank lid that has condensation. The outside of the tank itself is dry.
Thanks

Hi,
When you suggested styrofoam glued to the lid...do you mean the recessed part of the underside of the lid? If yes, do you know of anyone who has tried this with success?
I checked and re-checked the tank itself, the connection between the tank and the bowl, behind, front, sides and proper operation of the Fludimaster. Everything appears proper. The leak is only from the lid part than overlaps the edges of the tank, then drips down the side of the tank onto the floor. Your idea does sound like it may work, but, I am wondering if the styrofoam needs to be a special kind that not would deteriorate and break down into the water.
Thanks

I've never encountered that issue, but wonder if maybe some self-adhesive weather stripping applied in the groove of the tank lid would be enough?
