Hi,
I am looking for a 15/16" Male hose threads x 55/64" male 27 threads adapter,
but can only find
15/16" Male 16 threads x 55/64" male 27 threads adapter at Plumbing Supply.
Is hose thread = 16 threads? Can I use it?
Thanks

Garden Hose thread is 12 threads per inch and dia is greater than an inch.
Garden hose threads are totally different from aerator threads. The only time they are both present is with an aerator adaptor to convert from aerator thread to hose thread. You had better go recheck, I think you are making an error somewhere.

If you need to attach a garden hose to a faucet, that adapter is readily available. It will day something line this: 15/16" X hose
The 15/16 X 55/64 you have is simply a dual function male/female aerator.

That is just one example. Go to the "A" section, aerators, scroll down.

Depending on your faucet's spout, you may need a dual thread adapter to attach the aerator to hose thread adapter, because they only come with a female spout connection.

Upon further review from the booth, I think the piece he has now IS the dual thread adapter; he's good to go!

But he still needs the aerator to hose conversion adapter.

A word of caution when attaching a hose to a faucet. Backflow and the chances of possible injury. Just be careful.

Thank you for all your responses.
Actually, I am not so aure about the "hose thread".
This was what Home Depot staff told me when I shown them the aerator.
I measured the thread density on the aerator and came out ~18 thread/inch.
On the aerator, it also printed "A112.18.1M 2.2GPM(8.3LPM) MAX".
Does this provide any information about the thread density of the aerator?
Thank you for your help.

Now you have confused us . Aerators do not have hose threads.
The vast majority of faucets use the 15/16" male or the 55/64" female.
What brand is the faucet....some of the more commonly found outliers are the Price Pfister 3/4" or the Chicago 13/16"

Now you have become confusing. Are you trying to attach a hose to the faucet, which would be a reason for asking about a hose thread. Otherwise there are many "dual thread" aerators which fit the generic male or female faucet spouts. Asking a Home Depot "aisle clerk" a technical question is usually like the blind leading the blind.

I used to have an adapter, 15/16" Male 27 threads x 55/64" male 27 threads,
to connect my old pull out kitchen faucet sprout to my external water cleaning machine. 15/16" Male 27 threads gets into the aerator output of the faucet and 55/64" male 27 threads connects to the input of the external water cleaning machine. Everything was working fine.
Recently, I replaced the old faucet with a Costco Water Ridge pull out kitchen faucet. When I unscrew the aerator from this new faucet, I found out the thread of unscrewed aerator is not 27 thread. I have to find a new adapter to use. I was told the new faucet aerator thread was using "hose thread". Looks like a non-standard kitchen thread was used by Water Ridge product.

Garden hose thread is a specific size and pitch that is not compatible with any other plumbing fittings. . .
as per ANSI:
GHT--has an outside diameter of 1.0625 inches with 11.5 threads per inch.

ps. ANSI = american national standards institute
