 Point of Use Water Heater

Can a 4 gallon point of use water heater be used for a kitchen faucet and dishwasher? This would be installed as the only source of hot water for the kitchen because the main house hot water supply would be cut off due to a slab leak in that line.
Is this a good solution?

Yes. I just sized one for a customers kitchen faucet and dishwasher, 3.6 is what it required.
