Kitchen faucet automatic hot water shut off
Author: Jenb (TN)

The hot water on my kitchen faucet has some kind of auto shut off. If I turn the hot water on too fast, it automatically shuts off. I have to turn the lever very slowly...I do get full pressure....but it shuts off after about 10 seconds...I have to repeat a couple times for the hot to stay on. My kitchen faucet is a Rohl. My disposal is a insinkerator. Does anyone know what this is and how to disengage it?

sounds more like part of the shut of valve, washer or o ring has made its way up the line.

do you happen to have floodsafe braided hoses for the water supply? if so, that is your problem. there is a device inside the line that can do exactly what you described.

Yes, have a plumber repair the faucet. Faucets do not COME with an automatic shutoff, it is caused by something in the faucet being loose. It also has nothing to do with the ISE disposer.
