I use Watts S/S outer braid ..... will not prevent a 'drip' but should prevent a 'blow-out' (at least due to a bubble type ply separation).
Change them out @ 8-10 years or with a new machine.

these ones I have are blue and they are supposed to be braided inside of PVC ? They say "lifetime burst proof" I think they are made by Sanmar or something like that, I jsut figured m pulling the machine out to put in a drip pan I amy just change them even thought they are only 5 yrs old....

I also have the watts I carry on my truck. You could probably get another 5 to 10 years on your hoses but I dont want to tell you what to do, especially if the washer is in a living area and not in a garage. I sometimes even come across hoses that are 20+ years old, and do change those out when I find them. A lot of people don't understand that they are always under pressure and can be a time bomb.

I always turn off the valves after using the washer. Ususally use just cold anyway since our "cold" here in South Florida isn't really cold.

qquote; Ususally use just cold anyway
With today's detergents I find very few people that use hot water, regardless of where they live.
