About 3 times a year I have to remove the trap and clean it out for my bathtub mostly because the wife has long hair,,even though I have a screen over the drain it still gets by and clogs.
I just picked up a Zip-It for 3.98 at the hardware.
This thing is the nuts !!! It worked great, pulled a ball of hair and gunk on the first try...I am sold on this baby, sure will save me alot of time!!

They can't hurt but they can't get that far into the pipe. And they're half that price at Wal-Mart.

I hate Walmart, I would MUCH rather give my business to the local hardware, all I can say is this one is about 2ft long and reached thry the trap and pulled out a wad, everything flows free now !!

not worth the drive from NY to Florida to save 1.25
I didnt say it said to discard, no reason to my neighbor has been using hers for a year now, again it will save me taking the trap apart every few months..

Cave you cannot help to correct the problem if you cannot see it.the trap is not!!!the pop-up linkage is.enjoy the new found clogged area and try to understand why I never remove a trap unless the branch arm is clogged almost never at the lav!!!the little rod that connects the pop-up .remove it and 99% of the time you can remove the problem with a12"hack saw blade and it needs not be discarded.

I had one of the original ones, and it DID say to discard it, probably so you did NOT stick yourself with those sharp teeth trying to remove the junk from it.
