 Getting a Stanadyne cartridge out

My tub faucet is leaking. I took off the face place and handle, took the pin out and tried to pull out the cartridge of an old Stanadyne faucet set...but it won't budge. I tried WD40 to loosen it up, but it still won't budge. Is there something I'm not doing right?

Unfortunately, the problem is you do not have the right tool(s) to do it. I have 5 different tools to remove the cartridge and in some cases it takes more than one, and sometimes all, of them. The problem is that one version will just pull it apart and another one will lock into the cartridge and stay there until you get the cartridge out or change the faucet. Call a competent plumber and he should be able to get it out in a matter of minutes.
