Manabloc manifold leak on hot water side
Author: gtmoore (MD)

I had to turn off the valve to my bathtub to replace the pressure regulator inside the fixture. After turning the hot water side for the bathtub fixture at the manifold, I am noticing a slow drip. Any ideas of what the solution would be? I searched the internet and am not finding this being an issue and I don't see an obvious way to swap out the valve. I looked with a flashlight and it is not leaking at the threads where the pex line attaches to the manifold; it's leaking in the valve from the backside for the hot water bathtub line.

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

Here's two pictures. It's leaking from the backside of the valve.

Usually, I just turn that valve off and move the line to one of the unused ones, if you have any.

Good news (I guess)...The leak has spontaneously stopped with the valve in the open position. Is this something I should take a "wait and see" approach or should I address it now? I'm just concerned the small leak that I had could be a major leak the next time I have to manipulate the valve at the manifold. FYI...when it was leaking, it leaked both in the open and closed positions.
