My five yr. old TOTO toilet is making a loud noise shortly after flushing as it begins to fill and the noise stops when the fill is complete. Wouldn't you know, I have sold my home and it closes is 3 days. Is there anything I can do without spending money???

You can try to slow the water down by closing the valve a little or you can do the right thing (determine the cause of the noise and address that directly).

probably just needs the fill valve replaced or maybe just clean some debris out of it.
not a big deal by any means..

Remove the supply tube and look up into the barrel of the fill valve.remove the stuff . re install the supply tube.
