 Gradually fading pressure in faucet
Author: Catlinrepair (CT)

I have a two lever kitchen faucet that once turned on gradually looses pressure to the point that it shuts off. What would cause this?

It could be the diverter, or the aerator. Does the spray still work once the faucet quits supplying water?

Stems or cartridges? Stems could have loose or missing bibb washers. Have you removed the stems and inspected?

Is it the hot or cold water faucet doing this?
If it is the hot water side doing it then the brass stem is expanding and shutting off the water. Beveled washers make the situation worse. Use flat washers. Neoprene and not rubber.
