Regarding tankless water heaters and single lever faucets...
Author: Foofie (NY)

When an apartment building installs a non-water tank hot water heater, should single lever faucets be adjusted differently for ease of moving the single lever faucet handle? Is there water behind the metal ball in the faucet, as there was (I believe) when the building had a hot water tank, or does water only come up to the faucet after the faucet handle is turned on. I ask this, since it seems that since the installation of a non-water tank hot water heater (in the basement), the kitchen single lever faucet is harder to move when turning on. Thank you for any feedback on this concern.

the tankless heater can not make any difference to the operation of the faucet.
could be some debris in the faucet. debris often shakes loose from inside piping when it is worked on..

Agree with packy.the delivery of hot water or the temp at delivery may change .but your faucet being harder to move the handle leaves the debris as the most likely cause.

Good Luck. Insulate your hot piping, although costly, it will pay you back every day.

me too, not the heater, although they get blamed for almost everything that comes along once they are installed.

Usually the installer is the one that gets blamed. As my dad used to say, "I can repair a boiler in the basement of a building, and the next day the tenant in an apartment on the tenth floor at the opposite end of the building will say their toilet has not worked since I was there."
