You can use a bow vent if the situation allows it. what is the situation you are dealing with? If you upload a sketch or picture it would be helpful in coming up with a solution for you.

Without seeing your situation, we cannot tell you if a "loop", "yoke", or whatever you want to call it is appropriate. A plumber would be able to advise you or install a proper vent.

no one island vents anymore since studor vents...it can be argued either way which one is better, but if your doing it your self there's no doubt which one is easier...the studor vent...

i havent used an island vent in years and would have to look it up in my code book myself...its a venting system that you use when nothing else will work...its not very good, but better than nothing...if you get a drain plugged it can fill your venting with sewage...so you need to snake your drain and your vent line...

just studor vent it

Talk to your local building department about what they will allow. Some places will allow an AAV, or an island vent, ONLY if there is NO alternative, NOT just because it is easier.

a loop vent is one of the worst set ups you can have short of an aav. it comes with strict usage guidelines. most areas only allow them if it is a true island which means there are no walls around it. if there is any way possible to run the vent differently most inspectors wont allow the loop vent nor aav

If you have a wall or extanding cabnits from the orginal location you will be able to vent it without a loop vent or a studer vent, you just do not know how to do it correctly.smiling smiley

Have a licensed plumber help you get it right and then you finish it off.smiling smiley
