how does the retun go, on hose bibb put in a valve then a tee ,in bottom of tee put in your hb. then put in your check valve?

If I understand you correctly, yes I always replace the tank drain cock with a ball valve . put a tee and have the branch of the tee be the port for return of re circ water and the run of the tee the new drain cock. the check I use is a spring check, and as the guy here always says "insulate your hot water pipes"

Have no idea what you are describing. You remove the drain hose faucet, install a nipple with a tee and relocate the hose valve to the end of the tee. From the side of the tee, you put a shut off valve, check valve, the pump if you are using one, and then maybe a second valve if you want to do it right. You can also install a "purging" hose bibb between the pump and the second valve if you want to.

Since the valve to limit circulation velocity MUST be between the pump and heater, a ball valve may not be the best choice since it will operate in a partially closed position. I prefer a globe valve/stop for that application.
