My concern is that the Delta single lever kitchen faucet handle loosens, even though I use about 4 to 5 inches of telflon tape around the small screw/nut that goes into the base of the handle, before it is connected to the ball axis in the faucet housing. I do wrap the teflon tape clockwise, as the screw/nut flat end faces me. Do I need more teflon tape? I do not allow the teflon tape to overlap the flat end of the screw/nut that holds tight, when completely screwed in, to the flattened end of the ball axis that it goes over.
I use that "L" shaped wrench to tighten the screw/nut occasionally, when needed; however, I would guess that I am not doing something correctly, or doing something wrong, because that screw/nut loosens, and maybe there is something that makes it stay tight at the base of the faucet handle?
Thank you for any advice you have.

Dont use Teflon on handle screws, if you must use something a very small dab of Silicone paste. nothing is needed though.

I am surprised you can even get the screw started into the hole with ANY teflon tape on it, much less the amount you seem to be using. I have NEVER used teflon tape, and have NEVER had a handle come loose by itself.

Good Luck. Insulate your hot piping, although costly, it will pay you back every day.
