I just purchased a brand new Peerless P99590 kitchen faucet. I changed the fittings because I could not totally turn them off to the quarter turn, replaced the straight pipe lines with the flex type becauce the thread would not allow me to tighten them down enough. The pressure is not so good with hot or cold. I took off the aerator cap and that seemed to flow more water but still slow to stop flow after shut off. Removed the entire neck cleaned that out. I pulled out the diverter, still slow to stop after shut off. Not sure what to try now. Water takes over 5 seconds to stop flowing.

Does the water stop but take that time to drain through the aerator?
If that is the case see if the restrictor in the aerator can be removed.

I removed the entire cap and still same issue. Pulled out the diverter assembly too. I assume something with the handle, or perhaps new hose?

Is the faucet one with a pull-out spout?

Peerless is one of the lowest brand names you can buy.
I think you got what you paid for.....i recommend Delta,Moen,Kohler next time..
You will be replacing cartridges/washers yearly with Peerless
my Dad threw his out after 2 years and 3 cart. replacements..the faucet spout wouldnt turn anymore either..

If the faucet has a spray attachment, it is probably air-locked. Try running warm water through the spray only for 30 seconds or so.

Peerless is to Delta as Hotpoint is to GE: same basic guts, not so fancy on the handles etc.
Something is causing the problem, possibly some debris in the diverter?

i think the problem is a low end faucet
my advice is to return it and buy a better brand name....Ive never had a Kohler not work out of the box...probably installed 500 of them since ive been in business.

install one 500 or more miles from wis. and i bet your odds of getting a bad one go way up! especially if you get it from a big box
