 loss of pressure-
Author: bronsonbach (OH)

We have a serious loss of water pressure- suspect the water filering system, I've removed the filter the pressure coming into the house is fine, it's somewhere inside the system it seems, it's a kinetico model number 30

that is a water softening system. there should be a bypass installed and if so put it on bypass and see if your pressure improves. if it does then you need to call a certified technician to have your system serviced and repaired, if it doesnt then you have a different problem that will require someone on site to diagnose it

we cut the water lines to completely bypass the system. We regained the pressure but the faucets in the bathroom sinks still had barely any water coming out. We took the screen off one of the faucets and the water blew out like crazy, there were these tiny little pellets clogging up the screens, once we let the water run for a while more came out and the line cleared and the water was clear of the pellets. We repeatted this at all of the other sinks in the condo and checked the shower heads as well. Does the water softening system have these pellets inside and could something have ruptured inside and allowed these to inter the water supply?

yes, zeolite beads.....you may want to check the incoming water pressure, as a cause for the 'rupture'....also flush the waterheater from the drain, with the pressure on.
