PVC pipe for underground potable water.

Author: hj Whatever kind you want to as long as it has a pressure rating adequate for your needs and the class is suited for your purpose. In other words, do not use SDR sewer pipe for a water line.

Author: LemonPlumber (FL) generally a sch 40 pvc tubing is ok ---- Good Luck. Insulate your hot piping, although costly, it will pay you back every day.

If anyone uses pvc for potable water in our area it is mostly Scd. 80 AWWA approved.

As the weather gets colder like it is here this morning, just looked its 27 degrees, pvc tends to break and cracks very easly. :think2:

Author: hj I will tell you that I do not miss 27 degree mornings in the least. WE think it is freezing when it reaches 67. My son asked me if I ever missed the Chicago weather and wanted to go back. I told him my mother didn't raise any stupid kids.
