i would suggest somthing a little smaller.
with the part # you gave us that will never work.
you might try instead to go with a ge made by reeme 6 gallon or if you have enouph room a 10 gallon unit also by the same manufactuer.
the 6 is probably your best bet its electric 115 volt. good luck.

it depends on the room and the application on what they need.

if they are looking for a whole house heater a 6 gal. wont even come close and they do make 30 gal that fit under counters

under counter?
30 gallon?
the part # the customer gave us?
did you read the post (dlh)?
whole house water heater
if you can get that part # to fit under his or her counter ill give you all day to draw a crowd.
unless your installing it in andre the giants house or mabe you know shaq.
as i stated erlyer i think thay need something smaller.
and i would like to see a 30 gallon under counter part # that doesent require the whole kitchen to be remodeled.
im sure that the customer is talking about somthing much smaller.

The guarantee/warranty has NOTHING to do with how long the heater will last.

Don't most manufacturers make 30-50 gallon low-boys for under counter mounting?

Thanks for your helpful comment, I assume what you are saying is it depends on usage more than guarantee length, the existing 30/31 Gal heater is in there for at least 8/9 years,(most likely has a 5 yr guarantee) which would tend to validate that. My effort is to try to maximize time period between failure and replacement because I'm not there much and it's always a hassle to schedule repairs & replacements

IN the majority of cases, it is the same heater regardless of the warranty, you just pay more for an "extended warranty". Bradford White heaters, for example, become a 10 year heater after you pay an additional fee for the certificate. The life of the heater depends on usage, AND other factors which are beyond ANYONE's control, such as unseen glitches in the manufacturing process.

Even a 6 gallon might be a LITTLE bit small for a shower. 30 and 40 gallon undercounter heaters are WHOLE house heaters, not just for the sink.

And the make is? Whatever company you want to buy. They ALL make undercounter heaters.

The 30" height is good, the 3800 watt elements are bad. The lower the heater, and most will be about 32", the easier it will be to make the connections on top, but if the heater has side connections that makes installation even easier.

Same thing applies to the "lifetime" heaters. It does not mean they will never leak, just that when they do you will get a new heater, but will have to pay for installing it.

nope. Don't think he would be willing to pay more for travel time than he did for the heater.Hope he understands I would give him a thirty day warranty if he bought the heater. If I provide it, labor would be covered for two years.

Here the Registrar of Contractor specifies two years for a residential customer.
