I do not recognize this product number? But if it is thermostatic, rotate the stem 1/4 turn toward the hotter point .Then reinstall the handle in the same position it was when removed .If it uses a square lug adapter this would need to be removed before repositioning the stem .also reinstalled in the position it was in when remove. Some of these valves ,It is best to be in the temperature shower you want then install the handle.Good luck. The rotation of the stem controlling the water temp ,the rotation of the handle being limited.

I still do not see what you are describing as a kohler product ,more like grohe,But the two screws I would think are stops ,which may also work as check valves .Try to turn them both all the way to the clockwise position as far as they will turn in .If they are stop valves you should now have no water to this valve. You may find you need to undo your previous adjustment .open the stop valves and check.Good Luck.a higher water temp from the heater may be necessary to get higher temp at this valve .Did you visit the web site? what did it look like.If you loosened the two side screws on a typical kohler ,where the other type would have had way more ,you may have broken the balancer seals or the balancer to the cap seals. If this is the case you will need to shut down the water remove these two screws and then the cap which would look like a black plastic dome retaianed by a steel ring .pull it toward you to remove it.the next part, the balancer will still be inside the brass and it must be removed. Now tell me .this second part dose it have o-rings on the back and front or on the sides?Good Luck.

I think this has been addressed before when it was suggested that you call or contact Kohler for the print or owner's manual for your K-304-K Thermostactic shower valve. I hope you will listen this time and call them in the morning. Here's the water and I hope you choose to drink it.
Best Wishes

if this is what you have, the adjustment is the little stainless screw in the plastic. (towards the front)

parts are on the way from kohler, when all else fails call the manufacturer or maybe just maybe call them prior to and there wouldn't be a problem caused by myself to begin with

Sorry I did not recognize the number you gave ,It is a part number .If you have the type valve body with the two flat screw driver stops you can shut down the water by turning them clockwise as far as they will go.If the water is now stopped.you could remove the two brass Phillips screws from the right and left sides.then the steel ring and the cap portion could be putted out.you now will have the balancer only left inside the brass valve body.remove it .on the back side of the balancer there are o-rings that seal this part to the brass. Are they intact? If so apply a small amount of grease to them in place on the balancer and reinstall. Now the cap portion it to has two o-rings which are seated on the rear of it and should be lubricated to hold in place.Slide this back into place, you will only be aligning it at this point.now set the steel ring back into place and reinstall the two brass Phillips screws torque them a little at a time to push the cap into place evenly.now open the two flat head screw stops all the way counter clockwise. If the valve is as displayed you need only remove the o-ring ,and the black plastic tab with the screw adjustment may be pulled off the stem.this will give you complete control of the valve and these pieces may be discarded.Good Luck.
