Hello.
is PVC made in a 24" or larger diameter?
My wife and I live in San Diego. Do you know of a place in California where we could purchase a small quantity (60 feet) of pvc pipe that's 2 feet or so in diameter? Our preference would be to find it at a recycled scrap yard but we’d consider buying it new depending on the price.
we have an outdoor project - building a culvert to divert some sewer water that runs through our yard.
If so, can you supply me with the company name and telephone number?
Can PVC be made in that large of a diameter? If so, who would you suggest I contact re: my questions above? If not, is there another type of plastic piping that might suite my needs?
Thanks for your help!

24" is a pretty big culvert. They do make that corragated plastic stuff pretty big. Things to know before installation. 1)how deep will it be installed ? 2) What kind of weight may be passing over it ? 3) How long does it need to be ? It may be more affordable to install 2 12" pipes side by side than one 24". Just a suggestion. GOOD LUCK

Around here (Virginia), corrugated galvanized steel or polyethelene is used for that size. Can't that be used where you are?

Where are you in San Diego that you have open sewer discharge on the surface? Have you contacted the Turko Files?

If you are really looking for large PVC then try a company that handles pipe for agricultural applications. I've bought PVC up to 18" and I'm sure 24" is available. I would agree with earlier posts, however, that the corregated black pipe would be much easier to work with an less expensive.
