I need to route a 3/4? copper pipe down a wall. The amount of ceiling space in the attic is limited. I could use soft tubing that will minimize the opening in the wall that I need to install a valve or I could open up the wall and install hard tubing. Other than the obvious things I?ve stated here what are the pros and cons of using soft VS hard copper tubing?

Using soft copper is fine except that if you're going to snake it in the wall, you may want to open the wall in a couple spots to secure the piping.
Good Luck. e-plumber

no real difference in the tubing itself. when its exposed the hard copper gives the job a better look. other than that the soft copper is sometimes a little out of round making the fittings a little more difficult to put on. strap it well and you should not have any problems.
